RichFish
Data Retention & Deletion Policy
Effective: June 6, 2026
Reviewed at least annually.
What we keep and why
While your account is active, we retain the financial and account information described in our Privacy Policy so the dashboard can show history and trends (for example, net-worth and spending over time). We keep only what the app needs to function.
Financial-institution access tokens
When you disconnect an institution, its access token is revoked with our data provider and deleted from our systems right away, and we stop retrieving any further data from that institution.
Disconnecting an institution
After you disconnect an institution, the data previously synced from it is removed from the live system within 30 days.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Security, or by emailing us (below). Because RichFish is a shared household app, deleting the account removes the entire household: all linked institutions are disconnected and both partners' personal and financial data are deleted from the live system immediately. Residual copies in encrypted backups age out within 7 days (see Backups).
Backups
Backups are encrypted at rest and retained on a rolling 7-day cycle. Data removed from the live system — whether by disconnecting an institution or deleting your account — is no longer present in backups once it ages out of that 7-day window.
Requests
Submit access or deletion requests to privacy@richfishhome.com. We respond within 30 days.
Review
This policy is reviewed at least annually and updated to remain consistent with applicable data-privacy laws.
