Data Retention & Deletion Policy

Effective: June 5, 2026

What we keep and why

While your account is active, we retain the financial and account information described in our Privacy Policy so the dashboard can show history and trends (e.g., net-worth and spending over time). We keep only what the app needs to function.

Financial-institution access tokens

When you disconnect an institution, the associated Plaid access token is revoked and deleted promptly, and we stop retrieving data from that institution.

Disconnecting an institution

Data previously synced from a disconnected institution is deleted within 30 days, unless you choose to retain historical records within the app.

Deleting your account

On request to delete your account, we disconnect all linked institutions and delete your personal and financial data within 30 days.

Backups

Backups are encrypted and rotated on a recurring cycle; data removed from the live system is purged from backups within 30 days.

Requests

Submit access or deletion requests to privacy@richfishhome.com. We respond within 30 days.

This policy is reviewed at least annually and updated to remain consistent with applicable data-privacy laws.
